INCA Out of Calibration Time Ranges

The INCA out of calibration files are comma delimited files, containing the times that the INCA images were considered out of calibration. The time ranges in the files have been further divided into periods to indicate whether the period was a planned (1) or unplanned (2) out of calibration event but all of these time periods should be considered to be out of calibration. These files are used by the MIMI IDL INCA image read routine PDS_READ_MIMIIMG . The following links are included in case the out of calibration files have been updated after the user has already installed the entire code and calibration file set.

INCA Ion/Neutral Mode Time Ranges

The INCA Ion and Neutral Mode files are comma delimited files, containing either ion or neutral mode start and stop times and mode value. The Ion and Neutral modes are determined by the voltage on the INCA High start supply. 0=Neutral, 1=Ion. These files are not used by the MIMI read routines, they are just here for the convenience of the user. The following links are included in case the Ion and Neutral files have been updated after the user has already installed the entire code and calibration file set.

MIMI Stare/Spin Mode Time Ranges

The MIMI stare/spin mode files are comma delimited files, containing either spin or stare mode start and stop times, spin mode, spin direction and spin direction validity values. The spin and stare modes are determined by the MIMI DPU using the current spacecraft spin rate about the spacecraft Z axis. The values are (0=Stare, 1=Spin). Spin and stare mode does affect how INCA images are collected. The spin direction flag values are (0 = clockwise, 1 = counter clockwise and 2 = both). During some spacecraft manuvers, the instrument interprets the motion as a spin about the spacecraft Z axis, and can erroneously detect both directions. These spins will be reported to have a spin direction as 2. The validity flag values are (0 = invalid (or for stare mode), 1 = valid). The spin direction validity flag is only included when the instrument detects a spin and is 0 otherwise. During spacecraft spin up and spin down periods, the spin direction can be difficult to detect and if the spin is short and the direction value is not trusted, it will be marked as invalid. These files are not used by the MIMI read routines, they are just here for the convenience of the user. The following links are included in case the stare/spin files have been updated after the user has already installed the entire code and calibration file set.

Data Gap Lists

The data gaps files are comma delimitated files, containing the science data gaps start and stop time in UTC (yyyy-doyThh:mm:ss) and total gap time. These files are not used by the MIMI read routines, they are just here for the convenience of the user. The following links are included in case the gap files have been updated after the user has already installed the entire code and calibration file set.

Attitude Coverage

The atittude coverage and gap files are comma delimited files. They are snot used by the MIMI read routines, they are just here for the convenience of the user. Year 2004 is the only year with any gaps. The following links are included in case the gap files have been updated after the user has already installed the entire code and calibration file set.
